“Be watchful! Be alert!” With these words from the Mass readings for the first Sunday of Advent, Year B, Jesus urges us to heighten our awareness of what really matters in life. Though we all want to share in the joy of the Christmas season, too often we are weighed down by a sense of our failings, by shame and guilt that stifles our spirits. To experience the lightness of being truly forgiven, the Church offers the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This service provides for the individual reception of Confession. Each order includes a copy of rubrics with Scripture passages.
